VCS New Student Enrollment Information 2014-2015
All students who reside in the state of California are eligible for admission to Vallejo Charter School. Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Vallejo City Unified School District.
Families of prospective students shall:
1. Attend one of our school tours. See below for more details.
2. Complete and submit a written application.
3. Sign a Parent/Caregiver/Family Involvement Plan.
Applications for the 2014/15 school year are due on Friday, March 21st, 2014 by 3:00PM.
Interested families are required to attend a campus tour before submitting an application. Our next VCS campus tour will be Thursday, March 20th at 10:00AM. Please note the parking lot is reserved for staff and disabled parking. Kindly check in at the VCS office when you arrive. If you have any questions please contact the VCS office at 707-556-8850.

- Wednesday, March 5, 6:00PM (Information night, no campus tour)
- Thursday, March 20th, 10:00AM
VCS will hold a lottery, open to the public, on Friday, May 2nd, 2014. We will contact every applicant on the prior year (2013/14) waiting list to determine their interest in keeping their enrollment application active. Those who confirm their interest will be exempt from participating in the new lottery.
Siblings of VCS students currently enrolled are exempt from participating in the new lottery and may secure a spot in Kindergarten by submitting their application by the application deadline in March 2014. Siblings who are not in Kindergarten will be placed directly on the waiting list in their grade level.
VCS families are required to volunteer 20 hours per school year for the first VCS student and half that amount for each additional student. Volunteer hours can be performed by anyone designated by a student’s family to volunteer, including VCS students in some cases. There are many different ways to be involved at VCS on and off site.
